Is it normal to be obsessed with a fruit? I would happily eat avocados in every meal – and I have. California avocados are the best of the best.

Linus Bikes

Made in Venice, California (with its heart in 1950s France), their goal is to transform the way we make short, less than 5-mile trips by biking instead of driving. The bikes are beautiful to look at and a delight to ride. I have the almond Roadster and call it my “joy machine.”

Municipal Winemakers

These people produce wines exactly how I like ‘em – Rhone blends that are consistent across varieties and not overly complicated. Based in Santa Barbara, the friendly staff operate a laid-back tasting room not far from the ocean. (That’s where my favorite wine glass, which is incidentally a mug, is from.)

Peacock Pavilions

A dreamy boutique hotel in Marrakesh, Morocco with olive trees (and peacocks!) on its grounds. Designer and humanitarian aid worker Maryam, who has an exquisite taste and eye for detail, is responsible for the interior design. This is a feast for the eyes and spirit.

Tatine Candles

These are made in the U.S. by a woman-owned business. With an eye to artisan processes and packaging, the candles emit uniquely delicious scents. Each candle is an experiential pleasure, transforming your environment into an otherworldly zone of harmony.
